One question I hear a lot is "how did you end up in construction?" Well, I have my father to thank for that one...

 

 

My dad grew up on a dairy farm in a small town south of the Twin Cities. On the farm, hiring a contractor was simply ludicrous - they learned how to do all the work themselves.

 

 

Fast forward a few years to my childhood - he worked as an electrical engineer, sitting at a desk doing design work during the day. The farm mentality of "do it all yourself" stuck, and his evenings and weekends were spent working on some type of remodeling project at home, which meant that my evenings and weekends were spent working on some type of remodeling project at home!

 

 

I started swinging a hammer by the time I turned four, and haven't looked back since. Working side-by-side with my dad, I learned virtually every aspect of home improvement -from concrete to carpentry, windows to wallpaper, siding to shingles - and I am excited about the opportunity to share those skills with you!
